Maxinne selects 10 tracks that shaped her signature sound

Maxinne’s journey from her coastal hometown to London marked the beginning of her musical career. Her productions, featuring groove-driven percussion, catchy vocals, and infectious bass lines, have been released on labels such as Circus Recordings, He.She.They, Knee Deep In Sound, Pokerflat, and Saved Records.

In 2019, Maxinne held a 17-week residency at Eden Ibiza, captivating audiences on the dance floor. Since then, her performances have spanned clubs and festivals worldwide, including Ovestclub in Italy, Studio 338 in London, Lost Beach Club in Ecuador, Hi Ibiza, Knee Deep In Sound showcases, CRSSD Festival, Daytrip LA, CE LA VI in Singapore, Soho Garden in Dubai, Halcyon in San Francisco, and The Church in Denver.

Her talent has been praised by industry legends such as Marco Carola, Luciano, Hot Since 82, Paco Osuna, Yousef, Solardo, and Danny Howard, with consistent support on BBC Radio 1.

From her emergence on the UK house scene to becoming a globally touring artist, Maxinne’s career continues to grow. She has just launched her own label, Red Alert, releasing a new EP titled ‘Feel The Bass.’

To celebrate the milestone, Maxinne has shared 10 tracks that have significantly influenced her sound; these are not only what she plays in her sets but also what she produces in the studio.

1. Maxinne, Ammo Avenue – The Come Up

“My latest release is a collaboration with Ammo Avenue on Danny Howard’s label Nothing Else Matters. I met Ammo Avenue last year playing some shows together in Peru and knew we had to do a collab straight away. The ideas in the studio flowed so well and we both knew the vibe we wanted to create.”

2. Mr. V – Just Dance (Dario D’Attis Remix)

“I usually always play at least one Dario D’Attis record in my sets, I love his drums and grooves. This is his remix of Mr. V who has such an amazing vocal style for House music.”

3. Maxinne – Feel The Bass

“This was one of the first releases my label Red Alert which was released this year. It’s inspired by my love for Garage and Hip Hop music and it’s been getting such an amazing reaction in my sets.”

4. Jordano Roosevelt – Energy

“I met Jordano a couple of years ago in Ecuador after playing his music for several years. He’s one of my favourite producers with so many solid records. I’m really excited to welcome him onto my label soon with a two-track EP.”

5. Ruze – The FUTUR

“I love the tune by Ruze so much, it’s got the perfect balance of groove, melody, soul, vocal and energy. Which is all the ingredients I love in any house record. They smashed it with this one.”

6. Audiojack – Hypnotised

“Audiojack have such a solid discography of music and are also one of my favourite producers. I’ve been really into this one they released on Solid Grooves. It always gets such a wicked crowd reaction and makes me dance nonstop.”

7. Ammo Avenue – The Invite

“This is a go-to record in my sets at the moment out on Kaluki, Ammo Avenue always delivers music with driving bass lines, groovy percussion and energy for the dance floor.”

8. Maxinne ft. Cami Jones – Give It To Me

“I played this out for the first time at CRSSD Festival in San Diego and I had loads of messages asking for the ID of the track, so I’m really happy this is finally out and on one of my favourite labels, Circus Recordings.

9. Josh Kalker – 70s Addict

Josh Kalker is an amazing producer from Italy and Ive been playing his music for years. I love this tune on Trick he released it’s a peak time heavy hitting record.”

10. Sergio Saffe – Sigridd

“I first heard this being played on the DC10 terrace and it will always bring back such good memories from last summer. Sergio is a wicked producer, and I’m really digging his tunes right now.”
