Traumer rocks up London’s Colour Factory with an all-night long set

Traumer’s 6-hour groovy set at the Colour Factory was not one to miss. I entered the club just before midnight on Friday evening, and he welcomed me with bangers right from the door. It wasn’t just music; it was a complete experience. His set was art, filled with complex minimal drum grooves, trippy synths, rhythmic textures, deep basses, and dubby chords.

The French maestro is an artist with the ability to weave subtle narratives and deep nuances into his mesmerizing music. From tech house to groovy techno, he seamlessly traversed styles, giving us no break from dancing.

For parties like these, where a big headline act dominates the main room, I never miss the opportunity to explore the talents in the smaller rooms. Room 2 was taken by Rave Rabbit. The DJs there didn’t disappoint and maintained the level set by Traumer for the night, making everyone jump up and down like rabbits with their really subtle tech grooves.

However, Traumer was the man of the night, not just a great DJ but also an amazing producer. He didn’t miss the chance to showcase this by playing some of his own original music. A few tracks that really stood out for me, and I can’t overlook them, were two of his productions ‘Perspective’ and  ‘District’. He flawlessly blended these and many more of his music into the set.

The Paris-based French DJ and producer Traumer is definitely worth checking out, and I couldn’t be more confident that his music and the performance he gave us were true art.
