US Government introduces the ‘Shuttered Venue Operators Grant’ worth $16 billion

Live music venues can apply for a federal grant in April.

As of next month, Northamerican live music venues will be able to finally apply for financial aid under the ‘Shuttered Venue Operations Grant’. The program has allocated over $16 billion for live venues, movie theatres, museums, and other institutions affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Operated by the U.S. Small Business Administration, the ‘Shuttered Venue Operations Grant’ will officially receive applications through its website starting this April 8th.
