His music draws from nature’s rawness and technology’s possibilities, weaving evolving melodies and natural sounds into deeply emotive journeys. For Klur, this harmony is not just sonic but philosophical — a vision where the digital and natural worlds work together in symbiosis.
Following his 2022 debut ‘Visions’, Klur is now set to release his sophomore album, ‘After The Rain’, on October 3rd via Colorize. The project features singles such as ‘Sequoia’, ‘Impossible’ with LeyeT, ‘Unbound’ with BJOERN, and the title track ‘After The Rain’ with Ole-Bjørn Talstad. The record explores renewal and creative evolution, showcasing Klur’s growth as both a producer and storyteller.
In this conversation with EG, Klur shares insights about his new album, the creative process behind it, and the evolution of his sound.
EG: Hi, Patrik! Welcome to EG. It’s a pleasure to have you here with us. How are you doing? How is your summer season coming along?
Klur: Hello, thank you so much for having me. I’m doing really well, thanks. This summer has been very refreshing for me. I’ve been spending the last part of it in Italy, which has been both nurturing and inspiring. After long periods of being locked into the creative process, it’s been nice to step away, slow down, and recharge in a different environment. Being surrounded by new landscapes, food, and culture always sparks little ideas that later find their way into my music.
EG: First of all, congratulations on the announcement of your sophomore album, After The Rain! We can imagine anticipation must be at an all-time high. What are some of your initial feelings?
Klur: Thank you! It’s a really exciting moment. When you’ve been working on something for such a long time in private, it’s both a bit tense and rewarding to finally share it with the world. I’m mostly curious to hear people’s reactions — what emotions they feel, which tracks resonate the most, and how they interpret the journey of the album. There’s always a bit of vulnerability when you release something so personal, but that’s also part of what makes it worthwhile.
EG: So, what can your fans expect to find on After The Rain? Where does the name come from?
Klur: The title actually came from one of the tracks, but the more I sat with it, the more I felt it reflected the entire album. I’ve always loved that moment after a summer storm when everything feels calm, fresh, and alive again. Rain has this nurturing and cleansing effect, and that became a metaphor for what I was going through creatively. I was both nurturing new ideas and “cleaning up” forgotten sketches from the past that ended up evolving into finished songs.
Musically, fans can expect a listening experience that’s immersive and dynamic. Each track has its own identity, but together they form a journey with highs, lows, and moments of reflection. I tried to stay true to the core Klur sound while also pushing myself with new textures, rhythms, and tempos. For example, I experimented with slightly faster BPMs — one track even goes up to 129, which is the fastest I’ve gone under this project. It feels like a natural evolution without losing the essence.

EG: We know that, in a way, this new album feels like a continuation of 2022’s Visions. Can you develop this concept for us?
Klur: I think that’s true, although it wasn’t something I consciously set out to do. I rarely plan an album in detail before I start. Usually, I let each track unfold in its own way, and the bigger picture reveals itself as I go. I like the freedom of not setting too strict rules on an Album project.
That said, ‘After The Rain’ does feel connected to ‘Visions’, almost like the next chapter. The difference is that this album came together more effortlessly — the ideas flowed a bit quicker, and I felt more confident in how to shape them into a full body of work. So, while it wasn’t intentional, it’s fair to say it carries forward the spirit of ‘Visions’ but with a bit more maturity.
EG: In which ways have you grown since the release of Visions? In which ways does After The Rain differ from it?
Klur: I’d say the biggest growth has been internal. With ‘Visions’, I was still figuring out a lot about what my sound was and how I wanted to present myself as an artist. Since then, I’ve learned to trust my gut and ears much more. I’m quicker at recognizing when an idea has potential and when it doesn’t, which makes the process feel more fluid.
As for differences, ‘After The Rain’ doesn’t feel like a drastic change of direction — more like a deepening of the roots that were planted with ‘Visions’. The emotional palette is still there, but I think it’s richer, with more variety in tempo and energy. It feels like I’ve expanded the vocabulary of the Klur sound without losing its essence.

EG: What was the recording process for this record like? What did you take away from it, and what would you like your fans to take away from it?
Klur: The process was really fun this time around, and I think that’s important to emphasize. I experimented a lot with Foley — recording natural sounds and weaving them into the tracks. I’d go out without any specific plan, just exploring nature with my recorder, capturing footsteps, water, wind, or whatever I stumbled upon. It brought back this childlike sense of play, of not having a specific goal in mind.
Those recordings often became the starting point for rhythms or textures in the tracks. It’s amazing how a small, organic sound can inspire a whole groove or atmosphere. What I took away from the process is the importance of keeping that sense of fun and curiosity alive.
For listeners, I hope the album feels like a journey — one that offers moments of energy and movement but also space for reflection and calm. Just like the feeling after a rainfall, I want people to come away with a sense of renewal and clarity.
