It’s the first preview from his ‘PARALLELS (Beethoven)’ record.
This year, the world commemorates the 250th anniversary of the birth of a true maestro, classical composer Ludvig van Beethoven. To mark the occasion, classical music behemoth Deutsche Grammophon has invited electronic musician Christian Löffler to re-imagine four pieces from Beethoven’s 1920 recordings.
Löffler has just unveiled the video for the first piece, ‘Pastoral’, which samples an entrancing flute melody that bonds with Christian’s signature synths and atmospheric pads.‘Working on ‘Pastoral’, I had the insight that it was a good idea to focus on the quiet parts of the music, that was a milestone in the process of the whole EP. I wanted to highlight the darker but also brighter moments of the music and create an ebb and flow situation’, says Löffler about the release of ‘Pastoral’.
‘PARALLELS (Beethoven)’ will be out on November 27th. You can pre-save the record here.
