French music duo, Justice, has released their new single ‘Saturnine,’ in collaboration with Miguel. This single is part of their forthcoming album ‘Hyperdrama,’ scheduled for release on April 26th, 2024 via Ed Banger Records and Because Music.
Discussing the song, the band said, “We don’t think we’ve ever created anything that sounds remotely like this track before. It began with Gaspard experimenting with an E-mu synthesizer guitar sound, where he discovered the main riff. The rest came together very quickly. We adore Miguel’s raw voice. We wanted it to sound exceptionally frontal, with no space surrounding his voice. We were confident we could achieve this with a single mono take of his voice and minimal processing. This approach also suited the song’s theme, which is a sort of ‘Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas’ sweaty, hallucinatory flow. It’s about feeling good in feeling bad.”
In addition to ‘Saturnine,’ the duo revealed the album’s tracklist, which includes collaborations with renowned artists such as Tame Impala, Thundercat, The Flints, Rimon, and Connan Mockasin. The album ‘Hyperdrama’ also features recent hit singles like ‘Incognito,’ ‘One Night/All Night (with Tame Impala),’ and ‘Generator.’
Justice has announced US headline dates for their ‘Justice: Live’ tour, beginning at Coachella. They also plan to perform at Paris’ Accor Arena, Glastonbury in June, and London’s Field Day Festival in August.
