Late Nite City, is the alias from house producer George Smeddles, South Records boss Danny Langan, and multi-instrumentalist Josh Cutler‘s new project. Their debut track, ‘Everybody,’ a Chicago-style house anthem, is the first release on their new label, Late Nites.

‘Everybody,’ embodies the essence of foundational house music. Designed as a dance floor track for summer parties, it features sizzling, swinging drums, punchy piano stabs, and seductive trumpet melodies by King Crowney. Complementing the original, the ‘Get Down Dub’ version ramps up the tempo and intensifies the drums, offering a more serious yet equally danceable take on the track.

Drawing inspiration from a diverse spectrum of genres, including soulful house, jazz, funk, garage, and Motown, Late Nite City aims to infuse modern dance music with authenticity and character. “We’re not focused on what the charts sound like, or what’s hot on the radio. We’re just trying to put our version of the soul back into music,” explains George.
