Malandra Jr. has made a striking debut on Stil vor Talent with his latest EP, ‘Abrakadabra,’ showcasing the artist’s ability to blend classical training with modern electronic production.
The title track, ‘Abrakadabra,’ is a journey through pulsating arpeggios and desert-inspired choirs. With its robust basslines and Arabic-influenced synthesizer waves, the track creates an intense atmosphere.
The second track, ‘Ghostbuster,’ takes listeners on a nostalgic trip back to the ’80s, featuring a cascade of Moroder-esque disco arpeggios. Utilizing classic synthesizers like the Roland Jupiter X and Korg Triton, Malandra delivers a blend of pounding rhythms and uplifting melodies.
Simonpietro Malandra, known as Malandra Jr., brings a distinct fusion of classical training and electronic production to his music. His background in piano, clarinet, and studies at Milan’s Accademia Teatro alla Scala infuse his dance tracks with deep musical understanding.
His distinctive, punk-influenced approach to house and techno has already caught the attention of prominent labels. including Diynamic, Watergate Records, Exe Audio, and Renaissance Records.
