The Prodigy announce career-spaning documentary

Maxim and Liam Howlett are also on the film’s production team.

As revealed by Billboard, a documentary on the history of The Prodigy is in the works, and although it still does not have a release date, some details have been confirmed.

Produced by Pulse Films, whose CV includes famous video clips such as Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade’, LCD Soundsystem’s ‘Shut Up And Play The Hits’, and Nick Cave’s ‘20,000 Days On Earth’. In addition, the director is Paul Dugdale, who has collaborated several times before with the British group and who has explained that it will be as wild as the band itself. ‘Dark at times, with strong changes in rhythm, it will also be a visual, stylistically striking, contemporary, and challenging assault. We want viewers to leave the cinema as if they had just stepped off a roller coaster’.

The two current members Maxim and Liam Howlett are also on the film’s production team and have explained that they are dedicating it to the late Keith Flint. ‘After the devastating passing of our brother Keef in 2019, it seems like the right time to tell the story of our gang, everything, the whole 9 … It is a story of the chaotic and troubled journey of our gang, our gang, the band of people – The Prodigy. Or simply – a story of brothers with a mission to make noise … ignite the souls of people and blow up the soundsystems of the whole world …! This movie will be made with the same integrity that our music is – uncompromising, raw and honest … This is for Keef!’, they say.
